idiotic β of, relating to, or characteristic of an idiot.
mad as a hatter β mentally disturbed; deranged; insane; demented.
moonstruck β mentally deranged, supposedly by the influence of the moon; crazed.
out of one's mind β (in a human or other conscious being) the element, part, substance, or process that reasons, thinks, feels, wills, perceives, judges, etc.: the processes of the human mind.
out to lunch β a light midday meal between breakfast and dinner; luncheon.
round the bend β to force (an object, especially a long or thin one) from a straight form into a curved or angular one, or from a curved or angular form into some different form: to bend an iron rod into a hoop.
