  • choke — When you choke or when something chokes you, you cannot breathe properly or get enough air into your lungs.
  • withhold — to hold back; restrain or check.
  • limit — the final, utmost, or furthest boundary or point as to extent, amount, continuance, procedure, etc.: the limit of his experience; the limit of vision.
  • squelch — to strike or press with crushing force; crush down; squash.
