  • catch — If you catch a person or animal, you capture them after chasing them, or by using a trap, net, or other device.
  • join — to bring in contact, connect, or bring or put together: to join hands; to join pages with a staple.
  • wed — to marry (another person) in a formal ceremony.

  • tie the knot — an interlacing, twining, looping, etc., of a cord, rope, or the like, drawn tight into a knob or lump, for fastening, binding, or connecting two cords together or a cord to something else.
  • settle down — to appoint, fix, or resolve definitely and conclusively; agree upon (as time, price, or conditions).
