- transform — to change in form, appearance, or structure; metamorphose.
- alter — If something alters or if you alter it, it changes.
- modify — to change somewhat the form or qualities of; alter partially; amend: to modify a contract.
- contort — If someone's face or body contorts or is contorted, it moves into an unnatural and unattractive shape or position.
- distort — to twist awry or out of shape; make crooked or deformed: Arthritis had distorted his fingers.

- recast — to cast again or anew.
